About Brian

I grew up in Northern California (Bay Area) and then moved down to San Diego to go to college. I graduated from San Diego State University with a BA in Finance, and I have stayed in San Diego ever since.

During my studies, I took a great interest in personal finance and financial planning/advising techniques. I was very closing to moving into the financial advising field, however I have always wanted to be involved with real estate and real estate investing, so I choose to take my knowledge of financial advising with me to the mortgage financing industry.

Almost immediately I saw a great need for proper advice and planning in the real estate business. I was shocked how many homeowners were literally ignoring their financial well-being, and how little knowledge there was in the mortgage industry of proper financial planning techniques and strategies.

I found some solace when I discovered CMPS, an organization dedicated to spreading financial literacy to the public through traditional mortgage transactions. I instantly enrolled in the their continuing education program and I haven’t looked back since. I am now dedicated to showing my clients how to utilize their mortgage as the powerful financial instrument it is in order to create and maintain long term wealth and financial freedom.

I am co-founder, Vice President, and Senior Mortgage Advisor at Creative Lending Solutions located in La Mesa, California. I created this blog to help spread the word about proper mortgage planning and advanced financial planning techniques, as well as keep you up to date on the volatile mortgage and real estate markets.
